NEW ROLE: KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER
HIGH GROWTH LIFESTYLE FOOTWEAR BRAND

We are recruiting for a brand who have become an unlikely hero in the footwear industry. Although relatively young they have a global reach and a almost cult-like following with some demographics. 
Their success speaks for itself: in 2022, revenue increased nearly three-fold compared to 2021 despite one of the most challenging commercial landscapes since WWII.  
They are now seeking a Key Account Manager to build on their success in the UK Market. They will take control of all aspects of delivering commercial success for a group of 10 Key Accounts. It is a pivotal role and key to success in the next phase of the brands success.

The brand was born in the early Noughties and quickly grew internationally from it's base in the U.S
Since inception they have grown constantly.
The culture is humble but ambitious; with a focus on results in a sustainable way.

OWNERSHIP & EXECUTIVE TEAM
Initially investor backed, the company is now public and listed on the NASDAQ.
 
The long-term strategy is to sustain the success to date and diversify the product offer further so as to spread the brand coverage but also diversify the commercial risk. 
 
The current CEO has led the business for 7+ years. The executive team turnover is low and the tenure of the EMEA regional leadership typically 3 years + .

The company is a lifestyle footwear brand with different product tiers that extend from value to high-end collaborations. 
 
The consumer base is broad, with significant revenue in the categories of men, women, and kids. 
 
Robust partnerships exist with many well-known brands, which in combination with strategic influencer relationships create ongoing heat around the brand with a variety of consumer demographics. 
REACH & DEMOGRAPHIC
The U.S remains the largest market although the business now trades in 85+ international markets with further markets delivered through distributor relationships. 
 
The company operates successfully across wholesale, Ecommerce and Brand Retail Stores. 
Employee Population
The total employee population is c6,000, split between the U.S Head Office, Regional Hubs (ASIA, EMEA) and subsidiary market teams. 
 
All the key functions of the business are operated in-house, including, Product Design and Development, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations,Digital, Retail,  HR, IT and Finance. Sales (wholesale) is split between direct teams and partners depending on the market.

About the role

RESPONSIBLE FOR AN IMPORTANT GROUP OF UK KEY ACCOUNTS
THIS PERSON WILL MAINTAIN RECENT GROWTH AND DELIVER SUSTAINABLE PROGRESS

WHERE IT SITS

The global business is split into 3 regions with the EMEA business based in the Netherlands. The EMEA market is structured with some directly operated markets and some serviced through distributors.

The UK business (directly operated) has an office / showroom in London and operated a hybrid working regime with the team based from home and using the London base where needed.

SCOPE OF THE ROLE

This person will be responsible for  managing and growing multiple key accounts in the UK market.  

They will be able to bring together multiple stakeholders to achieve commercial results and growth. 

They will be able to do this in the context of a small but close-knit team.  

KEY CHALLENGES
  • Grow the account base revenue in a sustainable way
  • Grow the brand representation in-store and elevate the presentation of the brand
  • Grow the brand category share
  • Deepen the relationship between the brand and the accounts
  • Manage the distribution strategy so that accounts have clear differentiation 
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
  • Deep knowledge of managing UK fashion / footwear key accounts
  • Able to operate and deliver results in a multi-cultural matrix organisation
  • Strong ability to collaborate and build relationships from top to bottom
  • An appetite for cutting through noise and progressing things
  • An interest in finding commercial opportunities and winning support for these internally and externally
COMPENSATION
  • Base Salary up to £65K
  • Bonus Scheme up to 20%        (linked to company results)
  • 40 Hour Work week
  • Hybrid Working (part home, part office)
