About the role

WHERE IT SITS

SurrealDB is a seed-stage tech-firm with a small and agile team. (currently 16 and plans to grow to 60 over next year)

The team work closely to deliver the platform and engage their developer community.

This person will be responsible for sourcing and recruiting world-class people to grow SurrealDB..

SCOPE OF THE ROLE

Work with leadership team to align talent strategy with business objectives; establish and lead talent management.

Screen and select the best candidates, assessing both technical skills and cultural fit for SurrealDB

Establish programs to develop and retain top talent, including diversity, equality and inclusion initiatives

INITIAL CHALLENGES
  • Set up and maintain talent pool database

  • Establish the Talent Acquisition best practices and function for SurrealDB

  • Engage the growing developer community and identify potential hires from this group

  • Establish meaningful and effective reporting processes to support hiring goals
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders 

  • Create content to enhance the Employer Brand content and narrative
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
  • Deep knowledge of technical and non-technical talent acquisition best practise 
  • Awareness of emerging talent acquisition technologies
  • Able to operate and deliver results in a multi-cultural and remote / distributed  organisation
